Ministry of Communication and Information Technology launches University placements service 10/07/2011 - 01:00 University placements were released yesterday. For the hundreds of thousands of students completing their high school education and hoping to move onto higher education, it is a momentous day. For the first time in Ethiopia, with system developed and implemented by Apposit, students can receive their results and placements via SMS. Simply by providing their student id to a toll free short code (8181) in Ethiopia, students receive their grades and the name of the university to which they have been assigned. |

AC-IPH goes live with new SMS based system for tracking malaria morbidity in Ethiopia. 07/08/2011 - 02:28 Addis Continental Institute of Public Health (AC-IPH) and Tulane University selected Apposit to develop a mobile solution allowing for remote data gathering needs in Ethiopia. ACIPH plans on initially utilizing this new platform in 35 health facilities in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia before expanding further. |

Apposit works with TechnoServe to increase Economic Transparency in the Coffee Sector in Ethiopia 01/21/2011 - 09:49 Apposit has recently completed the implementation of a pilot project with TechnoServe, looking to increase economic transparency in the coffee sector. TechnoServe through its Coffee Initiative in Ethiopia is currently working with 74 wet mills in the country. To assist in reaching their stakeholders, TechnoServe employs business advisors who monitor and report on the performance of each wet mill including the price that wet mills pay for cherry, the profit received by the wet mills after their coffee is sold, and the dividends paid to farmers. |

AC-IPH is working with Tulane University in a project aimed at tracking morbidity of malaria in various catchment areas in Ethiopia. The system is expected to help manage malaria epidemic outbreaks. |

Paga launches Pilot 01/10/2011 - 09:45 On September 23rd, 2010, Paga launched a pilot of its mobile payments service. Paga is ready to launch nationwide once regulatory approvals are issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria. In preparation for this nationwide launch, a closed loop pilot was kicked off in Lagos. This pilot gives early access to a group of individuals who will give valuable feedback on the platform and service. |

Ethiopia Postal Service selects Apposit for Integrated Human Resource and Payroll System 02/20/2010 - 02:00 The Ethiopian Postal service selected Apposit to deliver an integrated human resource management and payroll system for its head office and all zonal postal offices. Apposit will be implementing its existing suite of human resource and payroll products, as well as undertaking specific customizations for the Ethiopian Postal Service.
